Anybody know a way I can remove the zl1 part off the shift knob cap ? Ive tried goo gone and acetone with no luck

Good question. Personally if acetone has no effect I would be leary of something that could actually remove it since it may distort and/or destroy it. I'm curious, how did a ZL1 knob make its way onto a V6

Wrap it in 3M carbon fiber vinyl.

It is screwed on. You must pry off the front button trim piece to get to them. They are just 2 normal philips head screws.
