He also smoothed out the throttle mapping in track mode so that I have a more linear throttle response in autocross. The car performed beautifully with the smoother throttle application over the weekend!

I would highly recommend Steve and RDP for your basic tuning needs!
Thankyou sir

Hey Steve! I bought a tune from you a few years ago for my 2012 SS. Iím getting a 6th gen Camaro now. I have long since removed the tune off of that car. I have the SCT x4. Can this same unit be used for a tune on my incoming 6th gen? If so how much for the tune?

Hey Steve,

Just have a general question/observation about the throttle on these cars... it's almost impossible to have precise control over the throttle. Sometimes I press the throttle and it doesn't really respond, sometimes I press it a little harder and the revs roar up, there's a ton of rev hang, etc. This was all present on the stock tune so I know it's not my aftermarket tune - the tune actually made it better. I've never driven any other manual transmission car where the throttle is so all over the place or completely unresponsive to inputs. Even my '04 Tahoe 5.3 lets me blip the throttle, responds instantly to little taps, the revs fall naturally, etc.

My question is whether there's anything that can be done to give us incredibly precise throttle control (ie, being able to blip the throttle instead of "requesting" a certain amount of throttle and the computer taking awhile to decide it wants to give you that), or whether 6th gens just ARE this way and there's nothing that can be done. I've heard that we don't yet have access to some tables in HP Tuners that control throttle input - is HP Tuners working on a solution? I've also heard that it's because the computers on LT's are completely different than LS's.

What do you think, will we ever have precise control over our throttles? I've driven Mustangs, BMWs, C6's, and more, and I've never had a car with this weird of a throttle.

Please don't mistake this as a complaint - I love my car, just interested in learning more of the ins and outs of how it works.
