ugh, so a racecar beats a super luxury street car - gee, ok.

Call me when the Ford can, drive itself, Park itself, come get me, has all the fanciness, can drive in the rain and run a low 9...

Both are cars that most drag strips have banned. Electric vehicles have far too much risk to the integrity of the track itself if they have a battery failure.

Maybe as a compromise they could eliminate the battery packs and allow them to use extra long extension cords.

Maybe they should call out GM and the E Copo

I think GM did this first about 2 or3 years ago.

Sure the Ford is faster right now but I am sure GM could kick their butts with a few changes

I had a blast mocking the eMustang owners at Ford Carlisle a few weeks ago.

Call me when the Tesla can too.

I have a Model S, not the plaid version, but it can’t drive itself, park itself or come get me. Oh, I have all the software, but the car simply can’t do that stuff. Hell, regular old “dumb summon” doesn’t work.

I can drive it in the rain, so I have that going for me. (No, can’t run a 9, but mine isn’t supposed to)

I think the reason tracks ban them is they are WAY too fast for their level of safety equipment. I mean 9’s without a cage? No way.

Li batteries are as safe or safer for a track then motor oil and fuel.
