Codes P0300 P2096 U0401 C0242 2021 LT1 5,400 miles
Happened after driving for an hour normally. Car died while parking and now will only start after very extended crank.

I bought a 2021 2SS 1LE and mines fine driving normally, but after a few track day laps I get P0300, which I heard is what causes and triggers U0401 C0242 which I also have but I’m no expert.
Are you taking the car to the dealer? If you reset the battery does the car now run fine? Mine does. Also flashing CEL? Did the CEL stick do you still have one? |

Thru quick research I wouldn’t be surprised if P2096 is also caused by P0300

Dropped off at dealer just now. Will be Monday before they can look at it. Running extremely rich judging by exhaust smell. Also getting a chirping noise I thought was in the driver door but now thinking it was a precursor to this problem.

Gotcha man will def stay tuned to see what they find. I’m
Having a lot of trouble finding out what’s wrong with mine and so is the dealer. Hopefully maybe we can help each other out Mines only gone P0300 flashing check engine light on the racetrack after a few hard laps All the other codes were history codes, I had C0242 U0401 among other codes like you. On one trip, after about an hour of regular driving I got pulled over by the police lmao, when I pulled over and stopped the car was almost dying, fluctuating from 200 or so to 600 rpm… the officer assumed I had a cam in my car. Eventually it smoothed out after a full minute or so but I feel like that was related to the problems I’m having on track. I opened a case with GM bc the dealer can’t find out what’s wrong (and I don’t blame them, bc there’s no check engine light when I bring it to them) I’m not about to kill myself trying to break this thing on the street If we find out what’s wrong with mine I’ll PM you |

My car was built Sep 2020 and sat on the lot until March. Wondering if it is broken valve spring.

After further reading it seems a low battery could be the culprit. I've thought my cranking was a little slow most of the time. Sitting on the lot for weeks at a time with no activity could definitely hurt the battery.
