So true, on the waiting part! I purchased a 1300 mile 2018 Hotwheels Edition 2SS loaded M6, and it was delivered from CA to MA. The 9 day delivery felt like months! It arrives today.

So I canceled my 22 ZL1 order because I found a 21 that is set to show up at my local dealer soon. I pulled the trigger on it. Its Bayed 4B00 at the moment, but hopefully will be arriving any day now. SUPER EXCITED!!

Congratulations. This is my strategy..i'm hoping a LT1LE shows up locally. Maybe even a 1ss.

your right man,not to mention a lot of owner/operators(independent truck drivers) and the unions as well want there pound of flesh out of GM and car buyers as well

I got an email from my saleswoman/dealer..

"GM announced accepting orders for camaro sitting in queue 8/16, will be pushed through that week.

Mostly likely a 2022 but they’re changing nothing.

Let me know if you still want to move forward."

We went back and fourth and she basically said she has an allocation and my order may go through as a 21.

Does this seem correct?

so is the line up and running at full capacity, or...? I wonder what the next 1-3 months says for production to remain?

thats what im wondering...is the line actually completing cars everyday that are ready to ship or are they still loading up unfinished products to complete?? I'm not only counting on my order im still looking at 2021 cars that get shipped and delivered to dealers locally. Cars.com shows 492 cars listed, thats up 200 cars from last week. Most of those cars says "In Transit".

There's so much uncertainty that i'm still sceptical. I can see this august and september going by with no confirmation. My luck..

I have been happy with my '19 2SS, but i got an email from the dealer I bought from saying they would give me original sticker price for it to trade for a '21 2SS. I love my '19, but damn, I'll be getting a newer car with a lower payment, that's a deal I can't refuse, only caveat: waiting on chips. Dealer said they shut down the plant this week because the lots are full of cars waiting on the chips, but no timeframe for when the dam breaks. All dealers are having this problem getting new vehicles so they are paying top dollar for the trades. If you want to sell your car, now would be the time, FWIW.
