Relocating the harness just to run taller tires on a sports car seems a little silly to me. I too love my oem 1LE wheels but I found a set of SS wheels and then bought 50k mile General G-MAX AS-05 tires (255/35 & 275/35) for less than $1,000 total and now I can swap back and forth between sets without needing a trip to the tire store.

Pictured below is the fitment of my 2 sets of tires. Resulting in only a 1.5% or less speedo error. However the 285/35 & 305/35 set will result in over a 4% speedo error. This is also a slight hit to gearing performance. Definitely not the end of the world and certainly do able, but to me to pros and cons lead me to the take off SS setup.
