I've seen it. I've also been waiting to see someone install it so that we can get real world numbers. I haven't looked at cam specs since I had my LS1, so I'm not sure how it will behave. I assume the idle gets slightly more aggressive.

Seems expensive, but again, the last time I was in the mod game was in my F-Body, where parts were plentiful and costs were down.

If we have to get a tune from a third party, which will ruin the warranty, why not just get a cam from a third party anyway?

Costs too much and voids your warantee, might as well go aftermarket.

90% of that power is rated from the cam. better off getting a custom grind that fits your driving style. Krops, have CMS spec you a cam. I think they charge like 4200 for a cam, install and tune.

IMO, the GM cam is a true 100,000 mile street cam. Sorry I've been through the broke LS1 valvetrain days that went on for YEARS. I like cams under .600 lift and gentle ramps cause I don't want to take it apart for 100,000 miles. I must have changed 100 broken whatevers on LS1 when the cams lift started to go big or go home... most time it was go home on the back of a flat bed. Yep, I'm old and probably wrong. But I ain't doing it again.

You make a valid point. Correct me if I am wrong but hasnt the valve spring technology also came along way from 15 years ago?

yep that's what they said 15 years ago too. Like I said it went on for years and every new and better widget would fail in time and I'm not talking 80,000 miles here. My Honda can go to 10,000 RPM with no valve float, so it ain't like I don't know anything about valve train.
