Well the TTV8 (500 HP) seems to be brewing, ala Elmiraj:

and closer to reality, the CT6:

Introducing a turbo 4 is part of that strategy, and adding a TTV6 may be part of a future strategy. A TTV8 maybe as well. However, IMHO if the turbo 4 goes well, then adding a TTV6 into the mix may allow GM to:

1) Bring aboard customers they really haven't had before
2) Prepare the Camaro traditionalists for things that are going to be changing over the next decade.

Those that want a 450 HP/TQ V8 have one and they don't have to buy anything else. Allowing GM to explore other power trains doesn't hurt anyone.

One is a concept car from 2 years ago, and the other "hints" at a turbo V8. So, I stand by what I said...GM has two TTV6s in production today, but no TTV8 in production today. Would be nice, but until they produce one we have what we have.

Since some have reported heat related issues with the supercharged ZO6 engine, maybe chevy should offer a twin turbo v8 option for the Camaro this time. I personally will be waiting til 2017 wanting a 50th anniversary edition. However, they need to either come out with a ZL1 of sorts or offer an alternate engine for the SS. They are already offering the MR suspension, why not offer an engine alternative as well if not wanting to do a new labeled car. Back in the day there were engine choices in the v8 family to pick from. I really dont want a new 6th gen unless i can get it with the motor i want and the color i want. If i will spend 60 grand on a car it damn well better be what i want in it. I wont be leasing... 1 more payment and my 2012 2LT RS will be mine....

Camaro doesn't get exclusive engines. If a TTV8 going in a vette, then maybe you'll see it in a camaro.

I wonder if there will be any word about a ZL1 or Z/28 at the Dealers Meeting? We already know about the GT350 and GT350R and we know how much they will cost.

I wouldn't expect any word about a Z/28 or a ZL1 until several months after the SS goes on sale. Nobody is going to talk about it.

Me. If I wind up in an SS, it will be a 1SS with auto, one or two interior upgrade options and dual mode exhaust.

Even without MRC the SS is still going to be an awesome handing car, and I doubt it will be too rough of a ride.

I believe the SS with MRC is going to be such a great handler, that IF there is a 1LE, it will be without MRC, and very much a rough riding track style suspension setup. It would need to be, to be a lot better in the handling department.

Good point, what I was trying to point out is that if you want the car to handle like the 1LE you take the MRC. If you get the car without it you most likely did not want a 1LE in the first place.

I saw that DSSV was mentioned as something that could be used to differentiate the SS from the 1LE. Wouldn't a DSSV system make a 6th Gen 1LE as expensive as a 5th Gen Z/28? I saw someone suggested a DSSV lite, not sure what that would be.

The 1LE is supposed to be track ready. I would not want anything on my track ready car that is called lite, maybe light or lighter but not lite.

And look nothing (and I mean literally nothing) like anything else on the road. With taillights that everyone likes.

That's the funniest post I've read in a while. Good job.
