Question regarding SS1LE or MRR017 Wheels

For those of you with SS1LE or MRR017 1LE replica wheels in the Satin Gunmetal color, has anyone ceramic coated their wheels?

I have a set of MRR017 1LE replicas in the Satin Gunmetal and I would like to ceramic coat them but I don't want them to become shiny, I want to maintain the original satin finish.

Thoughts?

yea mine are coated
a coating does not make anything shiny. it will richen the look but does not change the sheen of a surface

Agreed. Ceramic coated my OEM 1LE wheels. Made them SO easy to clean.

Excellent, now for the other question, should I ceramic coat them before or after I have the tires mounted? Or does it make any difference?

some say do it after for the fear weights wont stick.
I did it before and after and it doesnt matter. If you do it after you dont have to worry about them messing up the coating if they use something harsh on the wheel to clean it before the weight. If the coating hasnt fully cured yet in the 7days. If you can coat them off the car then just do it after they mounted and no worries about the shop messing up or some reason a weight doesnt stick properly

Ok, good plan, I'm going to mount the wheels to the car myself at home (not a fan of tire shops lifting my car) so I'll be able to coat them after getting the tires mounted but before they are on the car.
