New Owner and a Few Questions

I just bought a 2018 Camaro SS last night after a ton of negotiation. I'm happy with the deal I got, on a 43k sticker I paid 36 OTD and got a solid deal on my trade. The car is a base 1 SS with MRC, NPP Exhaust, 1LE Suspension and Black Wheels. Oddly enough, it was the exact car I would have built if I wanted to order from the factory.

I previously owned a 2015 Camaro SS, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as either mustang. This car however definitely drives like nothing I've had before, and I'm thrilled to own it. I can definitely answer any comparison questions as well.

A few things I wanted to ask -

Does any company make 1/2 inch lowering springs? Just to decrease the wheel gap a bit.
Can I get slightly taller tires? I'll make the switch to all seasons in a few months, and I would like a little more sidewall.
I like the NPP exhaust, but outside of a fuse pull, can I change the midpipe without getting drone but increasing sound?

Look at BMR lowering springs, tires I would keep as close to stock height.

The 1LE pkg is for better handling. Taller tires will hurt your handling but I suspect the ride is what you are trying to improve and taller sidewalls should give you a little better ride. If you get a wheel tire package you could get smaller wheels and taller tires.

+1 For BMR lowering springs! We run BMR on most of our track cars and they have been amazing.

You could buy some take off wheels for winter use. I have a set of 1SS wheels that I have been thinking about selling. They would work good for winter, they are not as wide and tires are cheaper for these.PM me if needed.

By "1LE suspension", do you mean magnetic ride control? If the car is not a 1LE, it doesn't have a 1LE suspension. Please tell me the dealer didn't tell you it had 1LE underpinnings.

Hey man, nah it had the 1LE suspension, different from the 1le package. It has Magnetic Ride Control, but also this -

1LE SPEC SUSPENSION PACKAGE

$1,970
Enhance road-handling performance with the same hardware and shock calibration as the production 1LE
Increase the steering precision and feel
Magnetic Ride Shock calibration tuned to optimize ride and handling
* May require additional optional equipment.

Okay cool, thank you both I'll stick with the same size tires and BMR for the springs!

On the actual window sticker or a dealer add-on? I've never heard of this.

It's on the window sticker, if you go to the Chevy website you can build one out and it's on there. It's missing a few things from the 1le package, specifically the appearance mods and the alcantara (which I didn't want).

Should be on the window sticker. It's an actual package on Chevy's website. It requires MRC of course. $36 OTD is a great price considering this package and MRC, NPP, on a 1SS. Ok, the OP responded right before me, lol.

Thanks man. Yeah man, the sticker was 43, after $3500 in incentives they still came down to 32 before tax titles fees and all the other stuff. I missed out on a few incentives because I didn't want to finance through GM.

Sick price. $10K off. You'd never get that here in San Diego. Makes me wonder what you could get a 1LE for in your neck of the woods.

Check out Koons Chevy, they have quite a few at a solid discount
