When i drove out to Florida i had to put Virgina as farthest point, then from there i was able to put the rest of the way on Waze. Still best out there for GPS.

FYI there are a lot of us that are in and out of planes/rental cars every week and it's a whole hell of a lot easier to carry a cable for the phone we will have anyway than carry a portable HDD... just keeping in mind there are different use cases for the different lives we live.

Thanks for letting us know about this!. I was so disappointed when I upgraded to IOS12 and Waze/Carplay was not avail. Glad they didn't wait too long to make this avail. I used it this morning on my way into work and it was awesome!.

It sure does! You can even report stuff with CarPlay though the limit it to cops, hazards and a couple other things. You are still able to easily "say thanks" or "not there" to an alert as well.

My favorite thing isn't how you can easily change the sound settings from none, all, or only alerts. This way on your normal drive to or from work you can have it set to alert, so it will notify you of cops and if you get rerouted because of a wreck or whatever without having to hear your normal drive directions!

Thanks for the information i already know. I do the same, in and out rental cars few times a month. I keep my (1" inch) little usb flash card with me that fits on my key chain and done deal. Just saying as you are that some people dont like connecting their phones through usb wire and using external or internal memory. Only thing i would connect my phone to usb in my car would be to charge it or to use Android Auto for Waze.

You are more than welcome, however; your response didn't indicate any such knowledge since you highly personalized your use case and indicated "not really at all" in response to a generalization about others.

At any rate, we all have different needs/desires/lifestyles so who really cares how someone else does it? I'm glad you are satisfied with your way of doing things.
