This. If the gears make more noise than stock there is a shim incorrect, or the backlash was not set properly on install. Take it back to the installer and have them double check. They may charge you for more gear oil, but it's a lot better than replacing ring/pinion + carrier when it finally eats itself from the setting being off.

Went that route = about a 10% difference - was not looking to make it a track car. Picked up an M6 diff from someone installing a 9" diff - all you have to do is swap it out. Going $ for a low mileage diff is between $600-750. Try to find local as shipping would get $$$$.

Just about all the people that put our 9" in on a manual car are going with 3:70 gears.

i have at he same set up 370 and RPM, put them in the v8 rear end , have yet to have all instaled was needed a programer for the speedo and now hyperteck has a programer for the speedo for my v6 auto 13 camaro question will i need a auto. tran. tune or will the speedo fix me to be good im a daily driver not a racer thanks
