Clutch pedal mechanical stop

First of all there is nothing wrong with my clutch or clutch pedal. Well except I would like it to stop sooner. I have a 2013 Camaro SS. I would like the pedal to not travel so far. I know I could just not push it as far, but for some reason I like the feel of it coming to a stop as opposed to just hanging out in space. So what I am wondering is if anyone makes a device to attach to the back of the pedal that makes it stick out about an inch further. Basically the clutch would just stop 1 inch sooner. Do you see any problems with this? The clutch doesn't seem to engage unttil much further than an inch from fully depressed, so I don't see causing any damage to the clutch or trans etc. Do you? Thanks for your help.

In my Camaro the clutch has to pushed to the floor before the starter can be activated.
It's going to take the fun out of your Camaro if you can't start it.

Lol yes that would suck. I guess I would have to look into how that sensor is activated. Thank you.

No longer is it a switch on the floor that can be wired across, it is a potentiometer and the ECU reads the pedal position.

As a test you can twist the key with the clutch out and notice where the pedal is as you depress it when the starter engages.

You may be able to make a clutch bypass switch. The ecm need to see 1.5v or less on the signal circuit. There may be other hurtles to figure out, but you could make it start.
