2016 Cadillac CTS-V w/ Whipple Supercharger! 748RWHP on PUMP GAS!!!!!

Our customer brought us his beautiful 2016 Cadillac CTS-V with hopes of being one of the fasted Gen 3 V’s at half mile events around the country while still being able to enjoy his V with his family. When he arrived with his blacked out V we knew this was going to be a fun build. From the beginning of the build our customer expressed that he wanted to maintain street ability and enjoyment for his entire family, but it needed to be fast.

He wanted to maintain a positive displacement blower, but wanted to push the car beyond the capabilities of the stock LT4 blower. For this we opted to run the Whipple 2.9L Supercharger.

To feed the Whipple supercharger we added our Vengeance Racing 4” Cold Air Intake System.cThis provided increased airflow and is designed to maximize performance for the LT4. Our intake features a gloss black finish, Green high flow dry filter and VR Logo.

We went with a Whipple 8-Rib Supercharger Upper Pulley and Gate HD Green Supercharger Belt. For the lower pulley we used a Lingenfelter 18% 9.17” Balancer Pulley and an ATI Balancer.

To complete the look under the hood our customer opted for our custom Vengeance Racing Valve Covers and Coil Relocation Kit. We also installed a Moroso vented Catch can.

Our customer wanted a nice noticeable lope at idle so we installed our Vengeance Racing Cam Kit Plus for the LT4. Using a Stage 2 cam gave our customer the Lope he was looking for while maintaining excellent street manners. For sound we installed 1 7/8” American Racing Headers. Since we went with a bigger cam we installed a Circle D torque converter to aid with street ability. To help keep the power to ground our customer decided on Toyo R888’s.

Once the install was complete it was time to street and dyno tune. Now as mentioned our customer still wanted this to be a street car. This meant no methanol systems or race fuel, only 93 octane from the pump. Having this in mind Mike went to work. After tuning was complete this 2016 Whipple charged CTS-V made a staggering 748RWHP and 690RWTQ on PUMP GAS!!!!!!

Our customer was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel of his V. After having his vehicle for a few weeks our customer had this to say:

Those are some great numbers with that car and build so far. Sounds like a beast. Thanks for sharing.
