In this car I thought rp synchromax made cold weather op a little notchier. I like it better anyway and will continue using it. Also thought my mpg went down too.

Maybe fresh stock fluid would be the best for cold weather and those that saw improvement even with rp in cold had worn fluid or incorrect fluid level previously?

RP synchromax filled to the full hole ftw

I used mobil 1 in my t56 and hated it. Drained it for pennzoil dex3. Mobil 1 wasn’t cheap

This statement could fit so many different, yet forum inappropriate conversations.

Did the dealer do a flush of the system also when they changed the fluid? I would think there is a good amount in the lines and cooler that wouldn’t get exchanged unless it was flushed.

Wondering this as well I want to switch to the tremic fluid but not sure if I need to flush or they can mix a little?

Redline ATF, did it in my garage. You'll need a pump/syringe like you would with the diff fluid. You can use the tranny sensor as the drain plug. It's easier that way since the technical drain plug is hard to reach

I don't think you need to drain out the 8oz for normal driving. On the track I get a tablespoon or so dripping from the trans for about 6 sessions after a change. I figured out it is from the vent hole at the top. At the track the temp gets to 200F + the g forces it mists out, condenses, and drips down. Eventually it stops. Street driving you'll never get close to getting the fluid that hot. I had zero drips before the track days.

The Tremec fluid is more of a gear oil spec and is better for track use IMO.

The lines are completely separate and ONLY part of the cooling system for the transmission and differential. You do not need to touch that at all. Only drain the transmission fluid and refill with just under 3 liters (I use Amsoil Signature ATF in my SS 1LE as well as my ZL1 1LE).
