Arrrgghhh! Water Spots Inside Gauge Cluster?

This unacceptableness has been haunting me since I bought the car. Evidently the prior owner spit his milk into the gauge cluster and there are milky spots inside the exterior plastic. Does anybody know if this can be gotten to without wrecking the cluster?

Nope. Mine has water spots from someone using a spray bottle to clean the cluster. The only option is complete tear down of the dash.

If it were inside the ext plastic wouldn't it show up on the display behind it?

Looks like Armor All protection overspray.

A few years ago...I sprayed mine and missed some of it and it did that to it.

No way to get it off....that I ever found.

Needless to say...I have ..Never...used...Armor All again! lol

It's really aggravating.
Right after I boughy my 1994 z 28 a fly got behind the gauge cluster.
I was so angry that a fly made his way inside my new car speedometer.
He died after a few days, but the body remained for the longest.

I thought that mine was on the outside for the longest! I tried polishing the plastic, every kind of cleaner. Then I realized...it's on the inside! Someone probably used a tornador or high pressure sprayer. Some water got behind the plastic and dried, and there's nothing I can do about it.
