Charging problems

I have a 2014 2SS with approximately 61,000 miles and I'm experiencing the following charging problems. At times, my alternator seems to be charging at 12.4 volts and as high as 14.8 volts. My battery is only 1 year old and I just replaced the alternator. It was good for a few days of changing the alternator, staying between 14.4 - 14.8 volts. Now it goes back to the 12.4 volts. Sometimes it stays at that voltage and other times it will go back up. Sometimes it will start out good and then drop and go back up. Doesn't seem to maintain a steady output voltage. I'm thinking it might be my ECU. Anyone else experience this problem or have any suggestions?

There’s normally fluctuation by the alternator based on battery condition and what other accessories you’re running in the car. Lights, stereo, etc. Perhaps I’m not seeing the whole picture but, seems normal to me.

That is normal. When the battery is fully charged it will drop down to 12.4 volts. When i start mine it will go to 14.8 for awhile and drop when charged. If I dont drive if for awhile it will go up to 15.1 and might take a few days of driving for it to drop to 12.4 if it even does.

Thanks for the help. I've never seen that happen before on other vehicles that I've owned.

Yep, completely normal from my observation, mine does the same. Never worried about it, never had any problems.
