Is an aftermarket exhaust worth it?

So If I have my car already straight piped, back to the cats, (no secondary cats, resonator, or muffler) is there a point in me getting an axle back exhaust? I have an x pipe in place of the resonator, the exhaust I was planning on getting was an MBRP quad exhaust, would it even be worth it since I already deleted my muffler?

The price is low. I guess you can always try and sell it if you don't like it.

It's only worth it if you don't like the sound. Simple as that

^ Agreed. If you like what you have now, why change it? Unless you are looking to go quieter. If that is the case, obviously a muffle is the way to go. though I'm uncertain if the MBRP would be THAT much quieter..

Just remember your up North looking at your profile so you may want to go with Stainless version if your going to do the MBRP. Just saying

I suspect MBRP might be louder. I'd also give it a few thousand miles (what I am going to do) to see if you even still WANT a new exhaust.

I figure if by my first service (7500mi) I still want a new exhaust I'll switch to the Corsa NPP.

I love the way my car sounds and the only difference between us is my set of headers. I say add headers or just stay with what you have now.

It's worth it if you don't like the current sound. I thought my stock NPP sounded good until I heard my current setup in person. Now the car sounds phenomenal, but everyone's ears are different.

I like the solo performance axle back. Does anybody here have the quad tips installed on their gen6?

short answer - no.

please, for the sake of everyone who can hear your car, restore the exhaust back to its original state.

When you think about, no mods are “worth it” as they decrease the value of the car

It comes down to what you want to do with your money.

Now if you have already decided to upgrade asking which vendors product is best makes perfect sense

I have the Solo quad tip with chrome tips, looks great, fits great. Not horribly loud until you step on it then it screams! Its a pretty solid piece.

Not worth it if you have the factory NPP. If not just cut off the suitcase and add some Cherry bomb glass packs.
