Best mod for <$400

As the title reads I’m looking for the best mod for under $400. I currently have window tint, diode dynamic smoked side markers, and the OEM front fascia extension. I want to keep my warranty as well!

From what I've gathered so far is an axle back exhaust and cai are the only performance mods that dont void warranty.

IMO - You might want to wait until the warranty period is over.
Save your money, and then purchase mods that will give you better performance for your bucks, and you'll be able to spend more than $400 by that time.
Maybe a catch can for now, but even then the dealer can say it caused something....of course they would have to prove it, and the CC is actually better for the car since it is only a DI and not a multi DI.

You don't want to purchase mods for the sake of mods, but you should want to purchase mods for increased performance, then again some do it for looks as well...I'm just not a show person, so a good CAI will most likely cost over $400, then again I haven't really looked into too many mods just yet.

I'm still considering the oil brand/type.

People are talking about a CAI and I've been seeing some comparisons and anything all that cheap seems to have some drawbacks and even the expensive ones don't give that much of a performance gain. Unless your taking the car to the track and need every possible 0.1 off your time. But a simple drop in "Green Filter" into the stock air box, you can get a good bit. And it's only $50

Ported Throttle Body is one of the more impactful mods for drivability, and as long as you keep your original, it is a "traceless" mod. Takes about 15 minutes to swap it out, so one of the easiest you'll do as well.

Cold Air Inductions or Roto-fab make a good CAI for the SS which is around $400. I had a Cold Air Inductions system on my 2016 SS and it made a noticeable difference to me in the sound and performance and I didn’t consider it a waste of money. If you want a louder exhaust then an axle back would be a good purchase too. Really just depends on what you are wanting to do and how much money you want to spend but I would say that either a CAI or exhaust might be the place to start with mods!

"mod" is a pretty large category...what do you mean by "best"? Are you looking for power gains? Cosmetics? Suspension/chassis improvement?

Cosmetic would be the best choice for now. I don’t want to dig too deep into power until my warranty expires.

Not true. Jannetty Racing tested that part on the dyno, and found zero gain.

This is incorrect. Doing this will void for Intake and exhaust warranty.

This is also not true, It's traceable. When you put a socket (unless its rubber padded) on a Nut or bolt and turn it leaves a wear impression into it. GM engineer's know to look for these impressions on bolts when inspecting a blown motor. You can't hide anything these days. You will also see paint marks on some bolts they look to see if the line has been broken.
