After market camshafts
Just curious looking at and reading post about after market cams for these cars I see the duration and lift is pretty impressive but to me but most have LSA from 113-114 isn't this a little big I have seen Nitrous cams with 114 LSA's but typically in NA all motor cams isn't the 108-110 LSA where you can pick up more torque .

Cam specs all depend on what the individual is looking for. Of course the bigger the cam, the more performance you get, but the more driveability you lose as well. It is all a trade-off. Personally a 108/-110 LSA will likely yield too much lope and too much driveability issues for my daily driven car.

I saw you mention in another thread, that you prefer a smaller cam as well. Do you mind giving some specs on your cam other than LSA? How is the idle, nice and choppy?

He also dumped a crapload of time and effort into tuning the car. I was never able to get mine to drive EXACTLY like stock, but it's pretty damn close with 10* of overlap on a 114+4 LSA. I think he's got less than 5* of overlap on his cam.

Well drivability makes sense but to me it's either 1 or the other street rod or more of a race car , hydraulic rollers offer good HP/TQ with street manners solids more towards race I was just curious with the lock up convertors you can run a pretty healthy cam and still have a well mannered street car.

I guess that just depends on your idea of well mannered. I don't mind making some minor changes to my driving habits for a little healthier cam. I consider mine to be perfectly streetable, but I have a feeling that some people might disagree. Cruising in 4th@30MPH going downhill can cause some bucking. It seems to me that my issues would be nonexistent in an auto car with the right converter and a good tune.
