Same here although I did have 2 3rd gens that were V6. And a 4th gen Z28. I'm wondering if it will effect SS and ZL1 next. I really want a ZL1 1LE after I give this one to my son.

Your son would be getting a sick machine! Daughter wants mine as well, but shes gonna have to wait a while. Would rather just build her one

Can I be adopted?

I too would love a ZLE, one of these days. The sad thing is I don’t think the prices on them are coming down any time soon, if ever. I wish they’d do a 6th Z28. Seems a shame to have that name plate/RPO dormant while GM is truly building the best factory performing Camaro’s ever.

I agree a 6th gen Z28 would be amazing. I'm surprised they never did one.
When I told my son I was giving him the car when the time is right, his eyes lit up and he got a huge ear to ear grin lol.

It kind of makes sense to me. If you are going to spring for the fairly expensive 1LE track package, are you really going to want to pair it with a 4 turbo or V6? To me, and I own a V6, the priority in that situation would be V8 first, then 1LE if you can afford it. I also saw an article that said it would let GM focus on other models, especially the LT1 which has been a popular choice.

Poor sales is what this is all about

I don't know guys my son just bought a 2021 with the turbo 4 cylinder and I was really surprised on how quick it was for a 4. I think it allows people like my son to be able and afford a entry level camaro and an engine that won't kill him.

Just for comparison, YouTube the 5.0 coyote vs the Ford 2.7 and 3.5 in the quarter. I wouldn’t have believed it. Amazing at the power.

Did he get the 1LE package with it? Not arguing that there’s not lots of fun to be had with any of the power options on the Camaro, just that people trying to keep cost down would likely go for the LT1 over a turbo 4 or V6 with 1LE package.

I think the turbo 1LE was under 30k new. Yet it didn't sell as good as the mustang ecoboost. Definitely sales related cuts. I'm just worried they may stop production before I get a ZL1.

All I've watched showed the coyote easily walking on them, but I get your point

I've been surprised at the popularity of the LT1. I didn't think people would choose a brand new stripped V8 Camaro over a used SS, but I'm seeing them all over the place around me. I actually saw one with a sunroof, which I was surprised would be offered on a cheap model.
