Yes, it definitely make the car more modern..to me anyway. I got tired of walking up to the car, unlocking it, and seeing those nasty factory bulbs .

Car got vandalized sometime between Friday evening. I thought being in a paid, private garage would help keep that from happening, but drunk folk will do as they do...

Both my mirrors were torn clean off and my license plate bent and scratched. No damage to paint or body damage.

Police caught the guy and are trying to get everyone to prosecute, I probably will agree (I didn't think it worked that way but whatevs).

Getting ready to file my claim with Geico.... This makes for a great morning. Technically my car is no longer safe or legal to drive, as I'm required to have at least one exterior mirror.

That is my hope too lol, we shall see - I meant to switch to USAA last month, but totally forgot to circle back on that.

The county is going for court-based restitution, but I imagine it will be like getting blood from a stone...

Gah, that sucks. I have never understood the desire to destroy/damage someone else's property. Jealousy or greed or just flippancy, human nature can be ugly sometimes.

Hopefully everything is covered and repaired to your liking.

Washed two weeks worth of pollen off of mine Friday nite. Drove to do taxes today. About at 1400 miles now.

Since I’ve been away from here for a few months I’ve done a few things to the car. All were maintenance.

Changed the trans fluid and filter. Trans fluid comparison in picture.

Replaced that small piece of rubber hose that is between the two “hard pipes” that is for the oil cooler.

Also torqued all oil pan bolts. The bolt right above the hose I replaced wasn’t tight and had a small drip. That’s what caused the hose to swell up. (Thanks to cmitchell17 for his post and tips on the best tools for the job).

Replaced battery.

Did an oil change too!

Thumbs up Power Stop Pads + G2 Caliper Paint + GM Chrome Black Lug Nuts

Did all this on sunday afternoon:

Name: IMG_9242-COLLAGE.jpg
Views: 774
Size: 327.0 KB
  • Replaced stock pads with Power Stop Z26-1474A and Z26-1718
  • Painted Calipers using G2 Caliper Paint with decals
  • Replaced Chrome lug nuts with GM Black Chrome
  • ZL1 Addons rock guards

I'm loving the Power Stop pads (I don't intend to track on these) - The pads are excellent i.e no difference imo to the stock ones and the lack of dust is just bliss.

Very nice! My black lugs from the factory cost $225 LMFAO! The wheels, like yours, were only $300.

I took advantage of a nice 70 degree day here in Vegas and got it cleaned up, and snapped a few pics.

One of my mouse traps was sprung. Spent an hour looking for mouse or evidence of a mouse. Nothing. Must have been the wind.
