New headers and steering issues?

So I just finished up my kooks longtube header install. I had the steering shaft unhooked at the time and had my son start the car for me to check for leaks and he spun the steering wheel a couple times! Luckily I had marked the shaft position before this. The service steering/stabilitrack is now on. Even though I know the it's hooked up in the original position, will spinning the wheel freely throw off the calibration somehow?

Your clock spring is fooked, never move the wheel with the shaft disconnected.

Do you have odb tool that can read steering angle or can you check it from DIC (digital instrument cluster)?

That way you can possibly reset steering angle to zero and reconnect shaft at proper clocking.

I don't have a odb tool😞. Probably wouldn't be to hard to pop one of the shaft bolts out and fiddle with it to seeing If I can get it set back to zero.

I just noticed you have a 1SS, not sure if that has a heated steering wheel the part number I posted was for a 2SS. Disconnect the battery for 15 - 20 min before removing the airbag. Also do not attempt to remove the torx retention bolt with anything less than a Snap-On, Mac or SK quality bitt as GM uses a nuclear loctite on it, if you strip that you'll be replacing the steering column if you have to cut it.

With the wheels pointed straight ahead and the wheel centered do your back up camera guidance lines point straight or off to one side? If it's not straight you may be able to just reset the steering angle sensor like Vtor_ZL1 mentioned.
