You all had me paranoid as hell. Just went to the garage to check.
Dipstick is at 7/8, looks good to me?!

Looked up the part number on the order form.
This is the oil used...

That's a good deal either way. It's worth noting that yours is a 2018 and calls for 5W-30 which is considerably cheaper (roughly half the cost for me) compared to the 0W-40 ESP on 2019 and later models.

The 5W-30 Mobil1 can be bought in 5 gal jugs and is about ~$45 for 10qt. The 0W-40 ESP Mobil1 (which I've switched over to) is only available in 1qt bottles and overall for 10qt is about twice the price of the 5W-30.

The key benefit of running with the newer stuff, other than cold start lubrication improvements, is that it doesn't need to be switched out when going to the track, per the owner's manual.

Good point, the 0W-40 is much more expensive, but $49 was a super sweet deal even for the old stuff. Heck, I'd offer to pay more just to have someone other than the latest hire do it. Of course there's the DIY option, too.

They run specials. My truck holds about that much oil and the will rotate the tires for 59.99 + tax. I can’t change it my self for that. Dealers are the cheapest place in town for oil changes.

For me $110 if I buy the oil and filter myself from speedway motors or $160 if take it to dealer.

Not bad at all.

Some stuff they just don’t make on. I had a Chevy dealer put the tires on my SS, it was $63 with tax. I was expecting much more. I wouldn’t have wanted to do it for that.

So, for my 2017 ZL1, owners manual says nothing about using full synthetic, only synthetic blend. Also mentions nothing about an LT4. HP supplement mentions nothing about oil type. My oil cap just says dexos. I used my dealer freebies at 500 and 1500 miles. They used dexos blend which was fine for me because I believe that's a better way to break in. Since then it's been nothing but Mobil 1. I know in 2019 they started recommending 0-40 ESP, but for you guys with 17s and 18s, is your manual saying anything different than mine? Oil cap just Dexos or Mobil 1?
I typically buy two 5 qt jugs from wallyworld and a PF64 off Amazon all for about $50 and my dealer would change it for $10-20 depending on kind of special they were running.

The dealership I use charges me $64, and according to the invoice it's the right stuff and the right quantity.

Maybe your dealership included, or maybe even you purchased a service package when you bought the car. It's not uncommon, and in the excitement of buying a new car, sometimes it gets forgotten about. If that's the case, you probably just paid the difference for the Camaro needing more and different oil than the standard package.

That's what my dealer charged for 5w30, it was a mistake the first time but they kept honoring their accidental price because I always brought up what I paid the previous time. Once I switched to 0w40esp it went to about 110/115.

A great price and it includes the oil, filter and labor too. I'd expect to be over $100. I do my own oil changes always- oil bought at Wal-Mart and filter at Rock Auto. My Camaro, which takes only 6 quarts my cost is $33. If my car took 10 quarts the cost would increase to close to $60.00.

Could be a dealer promotion that they lose money on with some vehicles.
Many years ago, I bought a Ford Powerstroke diesel truck from Phil Long Ford
in Colorado Springs. They had a lifetime of oil changes for $10 each on new cars sales,
and didnt exclude diesels. I got many oil changes there with a big smile on my face.
17 quarts and a $20 filter for $10
