Battery tender

The Z I purchased came with the Chevy battery tender. I want to cut off the clamps and install a plug so I can leave the wiring harness in place on the battery "box" and route it out to the grill. This way I can connect or disconnect the charger without opening the hood.
I never seen a system like this Camaro. Are all the fittings on the positive side of the battery 'box" under the hood + connections? And same for the - side? Or just mount the - wire to any ground?

What are all the unused connections for under the hood ?

I connected mine in the trunk. The rear deck still closes with the cord just running off to the side over the weatherstripping. I have been using this same method on a Jaguar F-Type for years with no ill effects.

Ditto, wired mine directly to the battery, which is of course in the trunk. The plug resides in the trunk during operation. When I get home , I pop the trunk and plug in.

That's where I have my tender hooked up. Mine has a short stub wire with a disconnect. I leave it on all.the time and just plug it in when I need to
