Soler Prf. Throttle Body for 3.6L V6 LGX Engine

Hello, Everyone.

Many of you have asked us about a Modified Throttle Body for the 3.6L V6 LGX engine. We have taken our time and done our homework on it. We are glad to announce that if everything goes as planned they'll be released for sale within a week or two.

They are being tested by forum members as we speak, performing well and we just need to wait till they are fully learned. Just a few more miles.

Here is a preview, we added the features that have made our LT1/LT4/LT5 TB so successful to the LGX design as well.

-Bell Mouth Inlet
-Shaftless High Flow Side
-Nozzles
-Front Lip removal
-Fully Machined and Polished
-Originally 72mm, taken to 76mm equivalent/effective flow area.

Mike,
What is the performance advantage? Increase in HP? Any effect on MPG? Tune required? Cost?

We'll put it on the Dyno next week. Yes, the expectations are more power at every throttle position, we already know that it flows more air and that should show up as more power.

Effects on MPG are TBD, our experience with similarly modified LT1/LT4/LT5 customers have never reported any negative effects. To the contrary, about a dozen have reported improvements on Hwy driving. It is fair to say that most customers do not pay attention to this though.

These were made to work with stock tune.

Cost for a new part will be about $300, exchanges or reworking your own TB, about $200.

Thanks,

HMMM I like the sounds of it. I'll be interested in the Dyno results. Is it an easy bolt on, does it require any special adjustments? Will it cause a CEL?

I don't currently own a V6 Camaro, but my 5th gen was. I had a ported T/B (among many other mods)

It's great to see another mod available for the V6 community. Even if this thing doesn't add peak HP or TQ, it will likely provide something down low, and at the very least, better throttle response, which I got in my 5th gen.

Better throttle response alone make for a more enjoyable driving experience. Hope this does well.

Thank JT58.

The LT1's took all our time yesterday at the Dyno, we'll have to go back and do the LGX. Installation is very easy, a few screws and a connector, very similar to instructions attached.

We have two members running road test (normal use) on them in their cars, no tune needed, no codes.

Thanks, KMPrenger. You nailed it on the head. This is exactly what we have learned and observed on the LT1/LT4 when testing, the highest gains occur at partial throttle (by a wide margin) they peak at the 30-70% throttle range, we are dyno testing to put a shape and numbers on what we call driveability and response, this is simply more power (a lot more) at certain throttle positions.

We think it would not be any different for the LGX, let's see.

No, we'll need to find another V6 in the area. We'll supply flow bench data in the meantime. Thx.

Wow, I am for sure interested. The installation looks so simple. It will be worth it for any gains. I will be watching for it's availability.
