Takes less time, effort, and $ than driving 5mi each way to the dealer. And the shop class flunky doesn't get his grubby hands on The Mistress.

Thanks, thats a great idea! Unfortunately my.chevrolet.com won't accept my cars VIN, probably because its an EU export car. But looks like I can still use the service records part, and just print them out then along with the receipts for oil and filters.

The dealership told me that the car didn't come with factory warranty, and only a basic 2 year warranty similar to what would be offered on a used car. And to honor warranty here, it is usually a hard requirement that the work is performed and signed for in the service book by a professional shop.

They wanted to service the car at 9000 miles. This is where they believe it needs its first oil change. I'm at 8000 miles now and I've already changed it three times. I'm heavily considering not to go there for them to do it.
