Stock Goodyear F1 tires under 30 degrees

Hi everyone! I have to bring my car to my dealership which is about 10 mins from my hous tomorrow and the wether calls for it being <30 degrees tomorrow. It’s the only clear day I’m going to have tomorrow. Will I be fine driving the car tomorrow?

Is your car garaged when it's at home? If so, then odds are that your tires are warmer than the outside temp when you start driving at which time they'll warm a bit on their worn and you'd be OK.

Had no issues with mine, and I've had them out in 5*F weather. Just don't get too excited on the go stick, lol

Unless you have snow/ice... Then be extra careful.

I drive my 2017 a few times in mid 20 weather on the stock summer only tires. You have to take it super easy.

Then there’s this:

GM bulletin #13-03-10-001A: "Information on Tire Cold Weather Cracking" – (Jan 30, 2014) advises “avoid driving, moving, or test-driving vehicles equipped with high-performance summer-only tires below 20º F as operating at these temperatures can cause damage to the tires.” The car models affected include the 2012-2014 Buick Regal GS, 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport, 2012-2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Z/28, 2014-2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE, and the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Stingray Z51, and SS sedan.

I drive my car year round, its a DD. I drive mine in 10 deg. or 10 deg. below. Your tires will break lose easier, especially with a stick, its fun. CAUTION:Keep traction control ON. When the rear gets squirly TC will straighten her right up for you and look like a pro.

I had always thought that on the summer only tires you would risk cracking and damage under 40F. Is that not the experience people are having? I would love to drive my car more this time of year but I am very cautious because the summer tires are really expensive.

Been driving the car for last two weeks in about 6-10 degree Celsius weather. Grip is fine, but be careful on the throttle, don't expect anything in 1st gear

The F3s that come on the 1LE do this, from what I've heard... But they're a different compound from the F1s

That's what I thought too. The other day I drove under 40 degrees and the tires didn't feel happy. I'm in the market for all season tires I can trust when cold and wet weather arrives.
