Katech TB

Just installed the Katech TB and throttle response is better and power seems to flow better, FWIW.

Just installed my Katech TB that I removed from my SS when I traded it. Car fired up perfect. Seems to smooth out the laggy/peaky throttle off idle that makes it more difficult to take off. Runs smooth and pulls solid. Butt Dyno is not calibrated to pick up the hp difference if any is there.

Just installed Tony Mamo TB in my 2018 ZL1. Throttle response is much better. Pedal is instant power.

I do think that if you have not done this mod that you shouldn't!

I would like to keep as much of the advantage as possible.

I bought both the ROTOFAB CAI and the TM Throttle body. Installed the TB first and have been driving with just that for about 3 weeks. I have not noticed any difference with the car, other than the idle seems a little rougher.

I think it's more a matter of expectation management. This is a ~$300 mod that I "think" some folks are expecting a more pronounced result.

In the end, it's just a ported TB. It's going to make the airflow through the TB more efficient resulting in a marginal increase in volume, nothing more or less.

For me it's doing exactly what I want - not a noticeable power gain but definitely better throttle response especially from a dig and better throttle control for speed through corners.

My .02

Agreed^^^^. It will not plant your head back against the seat, not that kind of mod. It does, both times I have added a ported/polished TM to my cars, give a modestly sharper throttle reponse, from a dig and at part throttle. For $300 bucks, a good return on investment. If it was a $700 mod, not worth it.

This was my exact experience with the Mamo TB. Couldn't tell any difference other than a slightly rougher idle.

I paid $390 so it's closer to a $400 mod than a $300 mod.

Katech ported TB is cheaper and requires no core with no codes. Love mine

No core required for Tony Mamo’s either. Nor any codes thrown.
