Turning off TCS = driveline damage?

Has anyone heard about someone damaging their driveline from turning TCS fully off?

You could certainly do damage if you've shut TCS fully off and allow the car to persist through wheel hop.. That's horrible on the car and w/o the computer slowing the spin up to stop that condition, it'll continue and you'll break several things.

Otherwise, just turning TCS off your car is a non-event to the car. You'll just be required to maintain (as the driver) more conscious control over what your car is doing and don't just power through spins.
