Just tried to order a full set and it said the fronts were out of stock :(
I went a head and ordered the rears, I'll keep an eye out for more fronts, or maybe just order some 295s at regular price.

Old tires killed Paul Walker. Don't put on old tires.

Nice, I didn't wait, and bought the "old-er" stock rear 305's, and the newer fronts (285's) and it was around $1k shipped, so far so good for me. . .

True, but those were 8+ year old tires that weren't stored in a climate controlled warehouse that is FOR STORING TIRES.... I'm not worried at all about 2-3 year old tires from Tire Rack.

Just bought it tonight! $730.68!!! That's all in, shipping and tax. There's no shipping charge, and no tax since it's being shipped from another state. Woohoo! Since I read this thread, I've tried countless times to order the tires based on the link provided by the Op. Every time, they were showing unavailable. Sometimes the rears were available, but no fronts, or vice versa, but not today! I don't necessarily even need tires right now, but I do plan on getting wheels in the near future. I figured I'd hold on to my factory wheels with the tires mounted for resale value. I'm pretty stoked that I just bought a set of excellent tires in a really large size for just over $700!!! I would of probably switched out to Michellin PS4S tires for a slightly better ride quality and likely much better tire wear (at the cost of less grip, as I believe these tires are more of a direct competition to the Michellin Pilot Super Sports and Michellin Cup 2's. I believe the Goodyear Supercar 3 tires would slot right in beween these 2 as far as grip, a bit closer to the Super Sports end of the spectrum. I've owned all 4 of these tires in the past couple of years: Cup 2's, MPS4S, Super Sports, and of course the Goodyear S3's ), but I couldn't pass up this deal. Even if the Michellins last longer, you are still ahead because of the added value. As far as older tires, I've owned numerous performance cars, some of which had lower miles for the age of the car. Which means the tires had plenty of tread, but we're older. I never ran into a problem. I'm not saying that you should ride on older tires that are obviously hardening or cracking (obviously), that's just outright dangerous and stupid, at any speed, especially spirited driving. 4-6 year old on tires in a climate controlled environment, not mounted or inflated is "almost" as good as a new tire that was produced a year ago...
Vaider, thanks for the link and the heads up! Much Appreciated...

Age of these tires is a non-issue imo.
I just got a set for $730 + $39 tax.
