Bringing this back up. I will probably pull my blower off and get it ported this winter. Ill probably go ahead and install the spacers since i have the blower off anyways. Im guessing that just adding the spacers did not cause any clearance issues or belt issues?

Not much data from anyone running these, or at least that i can find, so it will be interesting.

I did blanket and spacers on the 1.7L version of my engine and, frankly, was unconvinced that it made a difference.

Much better off with a 2650 or Whipple 3.0 as the cooling difference vs 1.7/2300/2.9 is massive. And if you run E85 then the heat is less of an issue than it’s made out to be anyway.

The kit is only $355 right now, so seems like if it would only drop temps by ~10°F it might be worth it since i will have the blower off anyways. You dont think it even made that much difference though?

I have my spacers in and the blanket on. However, since I'm running the interchiller, I won't really know. What I do know is that the supercharger is up 5cm and the hood barely makes it. I definitely like THE LOOKS of the supercharger sitting a little higher. I'm sure it's not helping my Center of Gravity if I was road racing. But it makes the engine look more pronounced. I should be done with the project in a few more weeks (I said that months ago). I've really only got the interchiller, roto-fab, and finish the custom exhaust. And I should be firing her up.

I went ahead and ordered the kit while I am sending the blower off to Jokerz. I figured it is worth the gamble for an extra $400 considering I already have everything pulled apart anyways. The science makes sense to me that it has to help at least to some degree.

Now I will say that actually getting this ordered was a huge pain in the butt. Their website had quite a few issues over the last month.
