Question 17" Rims on 2LT/RS?

I was looking at tirerack.com for some winter tires and they suggest a 17" rim

Rial Como
Size: 17X7.5 (4)
Offset: 35mm
Backspacing: 5.55" Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Weight: 23.0lbs.

with the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 Size: 225/65-17 (4)

Does anyone see a reason why this wouldn't work?

I know the smallest rim offered from GM is an 18" rim, but I've yet to see any reason why a 17" wouldn't fit. But I'm not 100% sure, that's why I am asking.

Find a local tire shop, they wouldn't charge you much to try it out with a wheel laying around the shop.
