Tires for 12" Wide Wheels? Help?

I was wondering if anyone knew the acceptable range of tire section for a 12" wide wheel? I was kind of hoping to just go with the smallest one that would safely/properly fit. Will a 305 fit? Thank you in advance!

I would recommend finding a tire that you like first and looking on the manufacturers website for recommended sizing (even sites like the Tire Rack can be way off). All tires aren't created equal and sizing will always vary a slight bit. They usually have a specific rim size for each tire and I highly advise you go with that size tire. Going to wide or to narrow of a tire can cause bowing and poor performance. Generally you see it with guys trying to squeeze on the biggest tire they can on a stock rim. They quickly realize the the stock sized tires hooked better in most cases.

Just a guess.. 345?

I read another post saying that adding an inch is about 25 in width. So 11 is 315 then 12 would be 340.
