Question Tire availability issue . Can I mix manufacturers ?

It is almost time for me to replace my original GoodYear's on the stock ZL-1 . I do have a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rears 305/30ZR20 in my gararge ready to mount . If I am unable to find the 285/30/20 for the front , can I use a different brand ? I don't do any track days just spirited driving under very safe conditions . I don't street race either . Any ideas from my Camaro friends ? As a last resort , could I put another set of Goodyear's on the front and not have any problems ?
Thanks for any help and suggestions .

You can. Tire manufacturers will caution you about mixing tires due to performance variations between them. It comes down to whether you're just daily driving the car or at the track trying to squeeze out that last 5%? Since you're just doing mostly street driving, you shouldn't really notice any significant difference mixing tires other than possibly wear and wet weather performance.

If you are a Costco customer, you can ask them to contact Michelin to get this size for you - they did for me.

Years ago I bought a C4 that had three brands on it, that thing broke lose violently(like how the 1st Vipers were said to). I recovered immediately but there was no warning until it was already starting to rotate.

Modern high HP cars are engineered so exactly with computers for every part I'd wonder if it be more a jarring difference than you'd expect.

Thanks everyone for the help . I was able to order a set for the front and should get both installed next week . Lets hope the expert installer does not scratch the rims during the process .

This costs a little more but it's first rate service every time I've used it, ous the convenience of coming to your location, I've used it twice and will use it again.
