Crackles and Pops with the LT4

So I have the same setup on my ZL1 as I did in my SS. Corsa Xtreme with secondary cats deleted.

The LT4 is a lot louder but does not crackle and pop anywhere near as much as the SS did. I like it, had a great sound to it.

Do any mods help with that?

Here is a video of my SS

Here's mine with LT catless headers but it's also custom.

It's crazy loud at WOT...makes your ears hurt if you're standing near the tailpipes. No drone or raspiness from inside the car.

I am no tuner but I believe this is mostly due to deceleration fuel cut off tables. Those tables are either disabled or nearly disabled on the LT4 from what I have heard. A tune can add them in but of course that's a full commitment mod, no going back.

Nothing backfires as much as my C6 Z06/427. Let off the throttle and cost in gear and it's a firework show. The LT4 is a different kind of beast, it is more aggressive sounding but not quite as refined, also lacks pops/crackles. Now the LT5 on the other hand...

So I have the a ZLE with the Corsa Extreme + Catback and just by switching between Tour Sport and Track you can get different levels of backfire. Tour when you let off the computer cuts fuel not ignition and then Sport its more blended and in Track it pops and bangs gunshots because it cuts ignition and keeps sending fuel. 3500rpm in first and let off when it’s warmed up, watch people duck

Hmmm. I always drive in sport, I'll have to try track a bit more.

I have catless long tubes and a full corsa extreme + with a tune and mine rarely pops and its usually on part throttle upshifts.

I just don't want headers. The Corsa is already loud enough with no secondary's, I don't want it any louder (just personally preference)

What about (Stock ‘19 VS Stock ‘18) .. The 2019 cracks and pops noticeably A LOT MORE.. specially when letting off throttle.

Anybody find a way to get that tune to our 2018 and older models ?
From what I know there is no hardware difference between the models.

Sounds like you're stuck in Tour mode, put it on Track mode and enjoy.

As noted, it is a function of the stock tune in the LT4 which can be changed with a custom tune. Try using the rev match, on decel you will get a bit more snap, crackle and pop.

To be fair my car is very loud on WOT, and startup but quite tame otherwise. Nice and quiet on highway cruising and if I dont get into it and drive like a grandma its got good tone but nothing over the top in volume.

My car does it when I start the car after it's already warm, like pumping gas for instance. It gets peoples' attention for sure and I didn't expect it initially. It sounds pretty cool.

It's gotta be something in the tune. Mine rarely does either. I wish I had more. When I eventually tune, I'm sure there will be plenty like my pervious GM V8 cars.
