Where's a good place to get the lt5 tb? Should it be ported?

You really need to find a good tuner and ask them for their advice in putting together a complete build.

IMO it doesn’t. You can always do it later.

Imo send msd to pray to get ported. That would be worth more and cost same or less than adding a 95 or 103 tb on stock msd.

The LT5 tb needs work to fit onto an LT1 manifold. Either the bolt holes need to be machined, or an adapter plate must be made.

As far as what the 95 does, check out Tick's test of unported MSD/unported 95 vs stock, and unported MSD vs stock, it has dyno charts for both https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=535959

Make sure you dont have any leaks.... I believe the foam must be removed.. it will leak...

Also, I had a ported oem and went to ported msd... honestly i hated the change because the car felt slower (mid range is very noticable. However, running to equally modded cars (but without the msd) you will see the difference AND its a must have if you plan on going heads/cam in the future. The little bit you gain on top end with the msd isnt that noteable unless you actually are at a drag strip or against another car you ran before.

Msd says to leave the foam on when you call them 5/2019

To me sounded like car feels weaker which makes sense because you feel torque more than horsepower with your ass. If you actually measure the car you will see your ass is wrong and the car is indeed faster.

It would be my opinion, that FBO, I'd go with a Pray ported setup, your option for stock ported TB or 95mm (ported or not).

If you are going headers and cam, then ported MSD, ported 95mm would be the way to go.

The middle of road well I will go to heads and cam in the future... hmm, I probably do the Pray ported stuff and then sell.

You're running the msd on a stock tune without issues or a cel? I was under the impression the msd needed a tune unlike a ported stocker but I am probably wrong.

This is exactly what I did, used that setup for a long while till i got the ported msd because i was going heads/cam.... which i ended not doing and just go boosted...

For about 6 months I ran CA front cat deletes, MSD, CAI and 103 TB, the only change to the program was taking off the monitors to the front 02s. Now it was much quicker after it was tuned by EFI Tuning, I'm just saying it ran fine with the stock tune minus the front 02 monitors.
