Phastek springs installed, hits bumps hard up front. All bolts are tight

I seen a vid where a guy cut the bump stops in half on a spring install. I didnt cut mine, front end hits slight bumps hard and some not, depends on road and angle. Sorta feels like a clunker car with blown motor mounts. Are you supposed to cut them to avoid this issue for more shock travel? Car doesnt have mag ride

In general , lowering springs are for looks only and usually reduce ride quality and decrease handling performance.

You also need to match shock damping to spring rates and length.

This and more. I did mine myself.

Rode Great. Felt Great. An improvement to me over the stock springs.

BMR springs in mine for a couple years now.. Great product.

Did you tighten all bolts in the air or after you let it settle on the alignment rack? Mine rides awesome and have had them on my car for almost 3 years. Love them and they handle so much better then stock and let my car launch hard at the drag strip.

I have the px1 springs , didnt cut any bumpstops. No strange noises. Rides like stock. No mag ride though. Did you align it afterwards?

Believe Eibach says no bump stop cut on MRC, but cut on non-MRC (front) No rear cuts...it's on their site (disclaimer).

Then I'd check to see if everything was tightened appropriately

I just had the GM lowering/handling and 1LE sway kits installed, and it definitely made the suspension hit a bit harder and there was some clunking. That said, I rode it home for 475 miles, and it seems to have settled and softened some, and the clunking has mostly gone away. I'm going to give it a few hundred more miles, then bring it back to GM to have them re-torque the bolts. The GM kit does match the spring rates to the shock tune though, so not sure how well matched the aftermarkets are to stock shock tune, and this could lead to it being overly stiff and hitting hard. Definitely give it several hundred miles to settle before hitting the panic button - but at minimum, make sure everything is tight so it is not a safety concern.

I did the GM Performance lowering kit, along with the /ZL1/1LE sway kit and my car rides like a dream! I consulted with GM Engineers at PRI back in 2017 who suggested the kits that I bought.
The one thing you must do with any vehicle where you change the ride height, is timing the bushings or re-cocking them. This allows them to adjust to the new parts. You loosen them up, drive the car gingerly and then tighten things up. Then a 4 wheel alignment is needed. You'll notice a huge difference by doing all this.

I saw this on another thread, and saw people arguing both sides - to clock and not to clock the bushings. It makes sense to me to do it, but heard that it was not recommended by the GM install instructions. So, I am not sure what to do. Also, I would assume that like the ECM adjusting to a ported Throttle body, the suspension will settle in over many miles of movement, I had to drive the car 475 miles home, and the suspension seems to have settled a ton in that time. I do plan on having GM retorque everything in a few hundred more miles, and I'll ask the tech about clocking.

I also love the feel of the kits on this car, but unfortunately I immediately installed tall profile winter tires, so really can't feel the full effect. But it is no doubt tighter - even with the winters on there!

Thanks for putting your thoughts on the topic in the thread.

My daughter was watching me write this and asked if she could pick an emoji - definitely my little girl
