I want to check the boost now with the kooks, might have lost a lb. So maybe with a smaller pulley some of these mods would show greater returns? Although I feel I will be pushing the stock internals with creeping up towards 700???

Even still it should be a solid setup, can't wait to hit the track and lay down some sub 10.50's.

Nice results! I think my next mods will be headers, 3.25 and e50 mix. Should put me around 650 with a 5th gear pull.

Looks like you are being held back by your cam and fuel, right? I think you are right about the forged internals next.

I absolutely love the flat torque curve and the hp line that pulls straight to the finish...absolutely beautiful! Congrats on the great setup.

That's about the perfect street setup right there!! 650-700 rwhp is the sweet spot, in my opinion. TQ curve looks flat and strong!! At that power level, I wouldn't think a forged bottom end is mandatory unless you are going to pull the engine for the cam upgrade, ect. At that point, it would probably make sense to upgrade as much as you can, depending on what your goals are at that point. In any event, you have a badass setup!!

I keep seeing this kind of thinking on this site and it's not valid. With a supercharger, how fast you spin it IS how hard you are pushing it, not the boost number itself. 'Boost' is just a restriction number and it can vary with changes to other parts. So what you did (leave the pulley alone) is a proper test of your mods. If you had changed the pulley, that would be a further mod, and then you would not have known what these mods (cat deletes to long tubes, normal CAI to big gulp, 87mm tb to 103mm tb) actually did.

Exactly. Read Ted Jannety's thread where they added headers. Boost went down and power went up. Why? Reducing the restriction in the exhaust reduced back pressure in the cylinder, let more air in and increases power while dropping boost pressure and lowering IATs. Win-Win-Win!

The TQ curve is impressive holding strong out past 5,000 rpms, where as before it starting dropping off at 4,500. HP gains are strong from 5,000 rpms and up. You should definitely see some improvement at the track.

Thank you everyone for all the comments, reactions and info along the way. I didn't give it any thought about the benefits of dropping boost but still adding power. Thank you for pointing that out.

This community has been a valuable resource, I cant imagine doing this all over with out it.

This will probably be the end of my major mods, I doubt I will head down the forged internals, piston, rods, cam, heads route, not unless I have to.

I have a fan override switch to install yet and will probably hook up a wideband to my P3 gauge, thats about it. Maybe a trunk mounted coolant tank.

I was just looking back at your Dyno graph and noticed the power goes flat from 52-5600rpm. It doesn't do that on your previous Dyno. Wonder what is causing that?

I noticed that too, and waiting to hear back about that.
