95mm BBK TB

First time poster here! just wondering what the consensus is on the 95 mm BBk TB but I haven't seen enough feedback to decide if I should just stick with the stock one. Thanks in advance

Its a good TB. It was my first TB upgrade with a noticeable increase response on the throttle. Would buy from them again.

It got here yesterday and immediately put it on, noticed that it surged as everybody else was saying and it sounds like I have a leak while I'm driving. Saw on another thread that the blade may be off so I'll try and see if its off and try to figure it out. If not then I'll just return it.

Had that happen to me with a VMAX... in the end I had to return it. I bought the VMAX because I was getting a throttle control code with my BBK but when I put the BBK back on after a thorough cleaning it too - the code went away and my car felt lighter on its 'wheels'. The TB just needed a good cleaning it looks like so I just kept the BBK and didn't bother to get anything else. Its been good to me for years now without issues.

Check all hoses and connections... otherwise, yes - return it... but perhaps don't give up on it. Maybe just a bad unit. It happens...

I took it off and reinstalled it, still giving me the same problems, I'm assuming I just need it tuned to get rid of the surge problem but the I can still hear the leak while driving. On closer inspection it looks like there is a small gap between the body and my intake? Never seen that problem occur to anyone else.

Got any pics of the gap? There should be none. also, is the O ring properly seated?

Unless you are swapping your stock intake manifold (92mm opening), its a waste of money. Id stick with a 95mm. You can port your existing to 102mm, or buy a FAST unit if you are going with a102mm BBK. You will need a tune.

Not sure how much you'd gain with a full 102mm set up. Your air box/CAI opening is also a factor.

For reference, the stock TB is 90mm.

Wish I had seen before you bought, the BBK throttle bodies were noted to be with the same exact problems you noted years ago and avoided by members on here, getting one that worked ok was a low chance crap shoot thus their lack of popularity.
