Where are the correct lifting points

Where are the correct lifting points for a 4 post hoist? I know the pinch welds can be sued with various jack pads like the ZL1 Add-ons for jacking up the car at home. There seems to be a lot of controversy on where and how to lift the car. I had a 5th gen ZL1 and the Owner’s manual had a clear lifting procedure. I also owned a C5-Z06 also clear lifting procedure. I contacted Chevrolet directly and asked about the lifting procedure. They refused to answer but said they would tell the procedure to a Dealer of my choice. Wow! I don’t get it? The CTS-V has the same chassis and so does the 1LE there must be a clear procedure?

you can use either the pinch welds (highly recommend the ZL-1 Addons adapters) or the factory lift points.

Lift / Jack Points noted in Yellow Boxes. In short, you are limited to the pinch weld areas.

There are some factory PLP but you would need large pads made to right shape and pinned to safely use them without crushing ONE metal thickness around them.

+1 this.

When you get under the car you’ll see where the factory lifted the car (rubbed paint) but I wouldn’t trust a shop to do it right unless they had the right adapters.... and most don’t.

These are the ZL1 lift points. Note GM suggests that the outboard front pair be used for the lift, presumably the inboard ones are for jack stands.

Thank you. I had seen the pinch welds location but not where to put the hoist pads.
