Anyone know when this will be available? Not a fan of the ghetto tint that they have available...

Sorry.... My tail lights are the GM dark tails. The third brake light on my car has a vinyl overlay. I am interested in the 1LE 3rd brake light because in Texas any use of tint on a light will get you a ticket.

3rd brake light shouldn't matter. It's not even required to work, at least wasn't when I was doing vehicle inspections about 10 years ago. Just your two mains and reflectors are what mattered. Unless an officer who actually has a good understanding of the traffic law has told you otherwise, you should be fine with vinyl or tint. If they have to get close enough to you to see that it's been modified, you're doing something wrong anyways. |

I put 3m black vinyl over my 3rd brake light. It is not required in Texas as mentioned above.

I really hope I'm wrong....
But In January they passed a law that requires a functional third brake light if the vehicle was equipped with one. It's my understanding that the third brake light is being held to the same requirements as the two rear stop lamps. From what I've read they won't pass your inspection and it's a fineable offense.
