Gloss black or Satin black? Which one looks better?
I am looking to add front splitter and side skirt to my RS camaro and I need an opinion on what would look good.
My camaro is Mosaic Black with silver 5 spoke wheels. The tail lights and 3rd lamp light are all blacked out. I am going to install 6 piston red brembo brakes in the front and 4 piston in the back. I will be getting diode dynamics demon eyes and DRL/FOG lights (RGBWA). I will install an extended spoiler. So the look I am going for on my camaro is not an all blacked out look. I will keep silver rims and install either chrome or quad tip silver exhaust. When I have all my lights installed I will be running them at blue. So for my splitters and side skirts would satin black look good or gloss black? Thank you for the help |

Gloss, if you can match the mosaic, even better. Make sure you apply paint protection film to the splitter and side skirts. They scuff easily. |

If you aren't going with matching Mosaic Black I’d do Satin Black.

^ I agree with either creating a perfect match or adding some contrast, but only in one parameter (either color, gloss, texture). In your case, I'd either choose mosaic gloss black or satin black, but definitely not plain gloss black. IIRC your rear valance is satin black, thus I would lean towards creating a satin "perimeter" all around.
For example, I have a garnet red car and added a gloss black front splitter to match the factory rear valance, which creates contrast in the front yet retains consistency throughout the body.

What’s the difference between gloss black and mosaic gloss black? Also what’s the difference between black and mosaic black? My car I think is mosaic black but I could be wrong and could just be black |

Whatever you decide to do (go satin), get that thing covered in PPF if you can, my 1le splitter is getting chipped like mad.

Take a much closer pic with a great amount of sunlight. If you can see an understated metal flake then it’s mosaic. My car is black with mosaic trim all the way around.

Another option is to check the service parts identification label in the trunk under the bottom cover, it will have your paint code, GB8 is mosaic black metallic and GBA is plain black. This paint color below is mosaic black metallic, check out the sparkling dots (and ignore the swirls ), these dots are the flakes we are talking about. If you don't see these, only gloss, yours is black.
