Track mode

How much stiffer is the 2SS/1SS 1LE track mode suspension vs. 2SS? Is Tour and Sport different?

Mag-ride makes it firmer than tour depending on the mode you are selecting.

IDK how it compares to non-1LE GEN6 SS cars, but I ride around with everything in track mode other than the steering which I keep in touring. Track mode in a SS 1LE is not harsh or punishing on the streets.

I have the 1le suspension and mag ride tune on my car and it seems like track mode isn’t as harsh compared to the FE3 suspension, just better controlled

Track mode in my ZL1 is not harsh but the steering is more firm than in the other 3 modes!

You can decouple the steering/suspension/exhaust from the modes in the individual settings section thru the settings menu

I have a 2SS with MRC, I wanted a 1LE but got a good deal on my 50th. I keep seeing you tube videos on how driving a 1LE for long distances would beat you up. I have driven mine from Ohio to S. Carolina and back in track mode and thought it was quite enjoyable especially through the mountains. I know the 1LE has a beefier suspension but is it to firm as a daily driver?

If only they'd added a custom mode that these settings could be saved into. Just one itsy-bitsy custom mode.

The C8 has it, but it's kinda frustrating to see how little effort that would've taken on GM's part compared to how convenient it would be on our Camaros.

The SS 1LE suspension is no more stiff than a SS with the MRC suspension.

Yeah GM should have learned from Dodge on the custom mode and also made gauges available on our center screen.

I've been wondering exactly this, pretty sure this isn't a definite answer, but I agree with you. And if the springs are different, i bet the difference is very small.

I have heard that the MR does wear out over time just like any shock, not sure how many miles this would take to happen.

Two of my co-workers both have 2011 CTS-V's and they both had to replace theirs last summer. One of them chose to go coil overs due to the cost of OEM replacements.
