Unhappy [Resolved] Slight Knock Retard in Logs (Have CAI)

Haven't tuned the CAI yet. Just figuring things out on my own. I've found a very tiny bit of Knock Retard during ramp-ups. Still, i'm pretty sure KR is bad. Its the Chevy Performance CAI - the car is stock otherwise. I've only just started to learn how to tune. Is it possible this is the CAI not getting enough fuel when I start pushing close to WOT? It seems almost like it's just running a little lean in those cases. See attached.

So for anybody who does have a question about this, it definitely is looking like as throttle position goes over 40% rapidly it's running a bit lean. I'll have to wait for my wideband to get installed before I can really dial it in.

A little bit of part-throttle KR is nothing to worry about, it's PE mode KR that you need to watch out for and even then most times it's false knock (sensor sensitivity).. What gas are you running?

93. But we drained the tank and got 93 at another place and ran two 30 minute trips hard today. All signs of KR were completely gone . So while it does run a bit lean with the new CAI it was also some bad gas after more data.

Hey verdicaysen have you ever exported a log file into Excel and filtered just the KR to see the specifics of the row where KR is visible?

Your predicted TQ is lower than your actual engine TQ - that's your "knock retard" or should I say timing retard coming from the computer because the car is making too much power in relation to what it thinks it should be making.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Relieves me a bit, but also means I have a lot of work to do and way more to learn. Seriously man. Thank you.
