The canned tune from Whipple runs a rich as most do which is safe. A dyno tune down the road will grab you a few more ponies but trust me you'll be plenty happy with the install out of the box.

We are an authorized Whipple dealer and have been dealing with them for a while now. We highly recommend and discount these.
Thank you for the reply

I run the canned Whipple tune. It is a tad rich out of the box. This costs a few ponies but is there as a safety buffer. The whipple tune will bust the tires loose at 80 mph so you may not need a dyno tune as soon as you think.I put 5000 miles on with no big issues, just ironing out the wrinkles. I'd highly recommend an oil catch can, mine catches a lot.

Good point and I am planning to throw a catch can on immediately.

All of you guys with supercharger installations in process should pick up a LS3 front seal. Several guys have had issues with the stock part "flipping" out on FI applications. As big of a pita as it is to pull the balancer on these cars, it just makes sense to do it ad part of the blower installation.

How did your install go? Took me most of the weekend, but it went rather well. Worst part we getting the front bumper back on, and fitting around the coolant tank. Also the PCV fitting in the front of the valley was imposible to get on after the SC was on top, it should be put on prior to setting the SC in place, bolting and torque it down. The wording in the instructions for the hoses towards the end was not very clear. Some pics would have been very beneficial.

My build was pushed back a week due to out water heater talking a shit on Friday. Hoping to bang it out this coming weekend. Glad yours went on without much trouble, hoping mine is the same

Oh man, sorry to hear about the water heater!

Also make sure you have a good crank pulley puller and pusher. The one I have the threaded stud was not long enough to thread into the crank. So i ended up cutting the head of the old crank bolt and threading the end for my puller, and that was just long enough. So just check that fit prior to this weekend, you will need enough thread to thread into the crank and have room to pull the new pulley on.

Thank you for your business.

Maybe I can provide a remote custom tune and you would not have to trailer anywhere plus you can be part of the tuning process.

Ted.

You are top of my list for a remote tune. After supercharger, LS3 front seal and catch can installation, I plan on wideband install the custom tune. I just don't have exact time table on the wideband as of yet.

I finally got my supercharger put on and have it out on the road. No surprise to me when you can hear what sounds like a marble inside the supercharger. I emailed Whipple they promptly responded said it is normal and to give it 100 miles for everything to break in and it should quite down Anyone experience it quiting down after logging miles?

I will be picking mine up from the tuners tomorrow, so I will see if the sounds changes any.
