I've been driving the car with the MRT V2 axle back for a few weeks now after flattening the extension pipes between the resonator and the mufflers where it goes over the cross braces and no more banging. If it starts again I'll try the header wrap. You can do the axle backs but you must be prepared to flatten the extension pipes quite a bit the clear the braces.

Looking at my car on the lift last night, it looks like I could just put some washers/spacers on the brace so that it gives it a little extra space between the brace and exhaust (and do the entire Borla cat back exhaust). Has anyone tried that?
