Anyone else have this problem!!!

So I've had my camaro for 2 years now and it seems there is a lack of interest in people wanting to run me I've ran into a total of maybe 5 cars that would which really surprises me for the fact that there are a ton of ricers I always hear fart canning around and a ton of mustangs and other assorted cars. Has anyone else had this problem it just seems disappointing.

I had way more back when I had a v6 mustang. Sometimes a ricer next to me will rev it up and then with my exhaust I just go up to maybe 3k and they usually stop

I think street racing or whatever you want to call it, has declined. Most people can't afford fast cars anymore and the cops are out in force a lot more than before.

Most people with nice, fast cars around here have enough sense not to street race. The only people I have that try to race me are in stupid, trashy cars and they're doing it just to **** with me. Like the twenty something year old girl in the Scion a few nights ago. I'm not wasting my time and my freedom over something like that.

Yea there's enough open nice roads around here that all types of people race for fun not just trash cars on busy streets yea you get the annoying kids that have no common sense but for the most part everyone is pretty smart not to get into trouble and do something stupid.

In my area the ones who often try to "race" on city streets are lifted "big boost" diesels. Occasionally some of us with actual performance cars will have a little sprint (it's Wyoming, dead highways are a plenty) but even then its not often.

Yeh, I remember.......Riverton, WY was my town. Loved the place and the people, but grand kids moved me to Kansas...Where the HELL are the mountains?

I do not race ever, but it bothers me so much not to when dudes try to get me to...Must be a testosterone thing...Either way, you get to spend a night in jail down here if caught drag racing

No need to street race when I can out-accelerate most vehicles using 50% throttle and be many car lengths ahead when I hit the speed-limit.

Sure...if you're trying to compare a ZL1 to every day joe-schmo cars like Camry's and Civic's and SunFire's and the like, but you wont fair so well on the streets against other modified street cars, unless you only stick to a certain brand/type you run?

But I'm sorry, a stock ZL1 will get beat up on the streets around my neighbourhood by the other "car guys" that are patrolling the streets with veryyy fast vettes, stangs and the like.

And to the OP...I agree. In general, I find less and less people want to have fun anymore..
