Got the car back after 9 months of being down for the trans
And it still doesn't want to shift correct all of the time coming out of 4th gear. Sorry for posting this in the forced induction section but I'm thinking it is related since the car is making more than twice the horsepower with the turbos. I'm beginning to think it's the tune and I need to look for a new tuner. Anyone else had issues with the trans shifting out of 4th under load with 1000+? This trans has seen rebuilt twice now by Tim King and I'm thinking it isn't the trans causing the issue.

Turbos are forced induction, so you are good. Not sure what the heck is happening, who is tuning it?

I am running Tim King A8 unit in my C7 for 2 years without issues. You most likely have a tune issue. My car also has the lazy 4-5 shift under WOT, I played with VT tables and was able to improve the 4-5 shift, but then the 2-3 shift started to have similar symptoms. Kept playing with VT until shifts are acceptable to me
The converter might also be going bad. Does the trans do the same with the stock converter? |
