I loved my old ZL1, I got a nail in the tire last Thursday so I took it to the dealer to get it fixed. While I was there, a lady ran into the back of it while it was sitting in the parking lot and then her passenger door dinged it as she parked next to it. So I traded it in while the cops arrested them for DUI... Crazy day. Some of the differences in my opinion:

1. You can feel the horsepower difference when shifting from higher RPM in the 17, lower revs felt stronger in the 13.

2. The 17 will get loose in 1, 2, and third gear. Even when the tires are warm it felt like I was on a sheet of ice (really fun though) The 13 will get pretty stable in second gear.

3. The 17 is very refined, I feel like I am driving something exotic when I'm in it (wore my Raybans). It fits like a glove. And very comfortable on long road trips (I've been driving like crazy since I got it). The 13 is comfortable as well but it feels and is a MUSCLE car (wore my Oakleys). Wide on the outside and boxy/plain on the inside. I drove it to Maryland from Shreveport, La and it was comfortable on long trips too.

4. Taking corners! OMG the 17 is stable, like riding on rails. I've taken several 30 mph curves at 50 to 60 mph with no insecurities. This is the category that I love the most.

5. Second best category are the interior options. I got use to the 13's muscle and no frills interior. Love the rawness. Again the 17 will spoil you with options and creature comforts. I can change the exhaust sound with a push of a couple of buttons!

There are many other things I like, feel free to ask particular questions if you like. If it wasn't for that crazy day, I would still have the 13. I figured it had to be destiny for all that to happen in the dealership parking lot, lol.

Oh a quick dislike about the 17, the damn side skirts flare out and I keep stepping on them or kicking them, smh. I have already scratched the drivers side, I get in and out very slowly now.

First off welcome to the forum.

Hope to be swapping my Oakleys for Raybans very soon too. Nice to see you made a long trip in the Recaros. Guess I'll be drivng mine to CamaroFest in July. Lets see some pics.
